The BBWC UV-C disinfection table lamp kills all viruses and bacteria in a radius of 6 meters (about 113 m2) quickly (up to an hour) and efficiently. The room does not need to be ventilated afterwards, because the Philips UV-C lamp used does not produce harmful ozone. Coronaviruses, including the COVID-19 virus, are also killed by this UV-C disinfection lamp.
UV-C light is dangerous for eyes and skin. Read the manual carefully and make sure that people, animals and plants are not present in the room during use.

Philips 36 Watt UV-C lamp
Unlike many other devices, this table lamp uses the Philips 36 Watt UV-C lamp. This was chosen because UV-C is potentially dangerous. You are therefore assured that the lamp used is reliable.
The Philips lamp only produces UV-C at the frequency 254nm. This is also known as the germicidal frequency. At frequencies below 254nm and especially around 200nm ozone is formed. Ozone can be hazardous to health, making ventilation necessary. This is not necessary with the BBWC UV-C disinfection table lamp. For the specification, see the datasheet of the Philips lamp.
Safe to use
The built-in motion sensor and delayed switch-on contribute to safe use of the lamp. UV-C light is also harmful to humans and animals. You must therefore have left the room before switching on the lamp. Once the lamp is activated with the control button or Smart Life app, the start-up is delayed to determine if there are no moving objects in the room and to give the user the opportunity to leave the room. There will be a beep to indicate that the device is turning on.
If the highly sensitive motion sensor detects a moving object during use, the device switches off immediately to prevent unwanted exposure.
Despite all these facilities and although UV-C has a very low penetrating power, UV-C remains dangerous for skin and eyes. UV-C can cause burns and damage eyes when exposed. Therefore, stay away from the disinfection lamp during disinfection and make sure that plants and animals are out of the radiation range. Like other types of UV light, UV-C can fade colors with prolonged exposure.
Smart Life App
is unique to the BBWC UV-C disinfection table lamp. The lamp is equipped with WiFi. Using a QR code on the lamp and the Smart Life app, you can easily and quickly connect the disinfection lamp to your WiFi network. You can then operate the lamp from any location with the app. This enables you, for example, to activate the lamp(s) before coming home. But also from every room in the house, which makes activation of the lamp extra safe.
